Extension of the Armistice

Written by: Mistral, of the Wild Blue Yonder
Date: Friday, December 3rd, 1999
Addressed to: Everyone

It has been agreed between Ashtan and the Church, from a meeting
where Napoloen, Irontounge, Pierce, Maran and I were present, as
follows, to the best of my knowledge --

1. The armistice as agreed on 12th of Chronos, in the year 234 AF
Achaean time (readnews public 3120) will be extended till the
conclusion of the conference, which is scheduled to take place on
Sunday, 5th of December, in the year 1999 AD Earth time.

2. As before, the shrines erected in Delos on the Delosian bridge
and in the Delosian guard quarters will still remain intact from
defilement, as a show of goodwill to the Church.

3. During this extension of the armistice, there will be no further
defilement of any shrine remaining on the Highway extending
from Mhojave desert in the southwest to North of Thera in the
north, Hashan in the northeast, Delos in the east, Shastaan in
the southeast and finally Shallam in the south, namely all of
the locations marked as Northern Wilderness, Central Wilderness
and Southern Wilderness when surveyed.

4. Until the conclusion of the conference, there will be no further
sanctification to upkeep any shrine remaining in the Wilderness
along the Highway, extending from Mhojave desert in the
southwest to Delos in the east, namely the single shrine currently
found in the Hut of Seasone.

5. During the same period, there will be no further erection of
new shrines except in the vicinity of Shallam on the Highway,
extending from Delos in the east to Shastaan in the southeast
and finally Shallam in the south.

6. As for other regions, nothing definite has been agreed on,
but in the spirit of the armistice, there will be no further
defilement in these areas either, unless initiated and provoked
by erections of new shrines and further sanctification of
existing shrines.

7. War and shrines will no longer be excuses for further killings
during this ceasefire. Any dispute over defilement, sanctification
& erection of shrines will be resolved between Ashtan and the
Church. Anyone found to be attacking and killing without a
good reason will be deemed as a rogue and having no say in
the forthcoming conference this Sunday.

8. This armistice has been brought on as a goodwill shown to
all men in Achaea for the willingness on the part of Ashtan and
the Church to sit down and convene for a possible new treaty.
Nothing that has ever been agreed on for this armistice will
form the solid basis for our negotiations during the conference.
Everything will start from scraps, although previous agreements
and disputes shall be taken into consideration to reach a new
understanding between all parties concerned.

Since invitations have been sent to all city leaders, guildmasters
and guildmistress, including the Oakstone council -- one from
each organization, everyone concerned should feel free to
feed input to their leaders for better representation. Thanks.

Mistral, Minister of War and Archon for Ashtan

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Miraman, in the year 235 AF.
