Shrines & Treaty

I must disagree with you there. I believe I have been most adamant about
sticking to the treaty, almost to the point where I'm starting to find it
annoying. I defile and remove as many shrines as I can, excepting those
protected by the treaty.
Actually, I have been amazed by the show of support from people of
different walks. If not for them, I wouldn't have been able to get it
done. I must also add, I am not the only active defiler. I just happen
to be most vocal about this issue at this time. That's about it.
As for the treaty, this is how I see it. The treaty was made at the time
Ashtan was wiping out almost every shrine there was in Achaea. As
the victor, Ashtan was generous enough to accept the surrender from the
Church and agree to a treaty which has given more advantages to the
Church than Ashtan in regard to the erection of shrines. The treaty was
made so that peace could be in land once more.
If we cannot be at peace with each other despite the treaty, it's time to
negotiate for a new treaty, or even worse, to go to war.
