Good

Just as rather theoretical letters have been composed
on the subject of evil, this evaluates good as I see and follow it.
The difference between good and evil is their definition of
greatness. As Evil defines greatness as dominance and the power of
ruling over others, eliminating those who are weaker, Good defines
greatness to be enhancing that which makes us mortal.
As Strife, i believe, pointed out that our destiny as humans, sprung from
Immortal rape, is to be great, I agree. There -IS- a greater purpose. As
mortals, we are given free will. The Logos provided us with weaker beings
not because he wanted them to be punished.. but because they are a part of
being great as well. By lifting one another up, nurturing the weaker, and
forwarding compassion, we truly show what great is.
In the Light of goodness and kindness do we all become whole. A human
without emotion is not a human at all. It is a creature barely fit to be
called so, more of an animate object. A golem. But we are not simply
breathing lumps of clay. We were given the capability for mercy for a
purpose. To shun emotion and compassion is to shun the greatest Gifts
of all.
What makes these Gifts great is not because very few know how to
properly use them.. not because they give power to the giver and receiver,
but because they are our Gifts alone. The mortal races look to their Gods
and Goddesses for guidance, but if Aurora shines brightly with kindness,
and Deucalion expresses justice, they are displaying themselves. If -we-
lift up the weaker, we are displaying that part of ourselves that is
great. By nurturing our passions, we allow our greatness to grow
and prevail over the weakness of base instinct.
We are not animals. We are beings created -from- the Gods.
Any newly hatched chick can push another out of a nest.
It takes greatness, for one chick to teach the other to fly.
