Your Trial

Written by: Born Again Servelan de Vermiis
Date: Tuesday, January 27th, 1998
Addressed to: Aeschylus, the Unmoved

Since I was regretably not present at the trial, I cannot comment as
how the guilty verdict was reached. I was not the judge in this matter
and my comment that "no one seriously doubts you did it" was not meant
to be "proof" of your guilt but rather a personal view of how I imagine
the rest of Achaea reacts to your diatribe against the Church.

As for the rest of your blustering and posturing, I would like to ask
the rest of Achaea how they feel Aeschylus has so honorably (or not)
"made it a point to only kill those who commit murder first." My own
recent experience has been that seconds after returning from my exile
while I was doing some business with Seasone, Aeschylus attacked me.
Did this honorable man give me any benefit of the doubt that I am
seeking to reform my ways? No, he did not. Did I "commit murder first"?
No, I did not. Did he seek my death purely because he is a malicious,
vindictive and spiteful person who loves combat and death purely for
the sport of it? I believe so. And I do not believe that I am the
only person Aeschylus seeks to torment, for I have heard others
protest his murderous and chaotic ways.
Penned by my hand on the 9th of Aeguary, in the year 183 AF.
