I was wrong. I am ashamed to admit that I have been nothing but a dupe of
the Church. All along I believed they were acting in the best interests
of mortals, but today they have demonstrated that they are nothing
but corrupt powermongers.

It began with an attack by Servelan on Epicurus, followed quickly by Servelan's
death at the hands of Epicurus. I was accused of forcing Servelan to attack,
but there was absolutely no proof of this whatsoever. Gawain and Odysseus,
who claimed to be acting as leaders of the Church, not as individuals,
then put me on trial. They convicted me without any proof at all, and I was
slain without even so much as the opportunity to appeal. They acted
as Judge, Jury, and Executioners.

After I had finished praying to Sarapis for salvation, I questioned Gawain
as to what the charges had been, and why I was found guilty. The charges were,
apparently, murder, though I was never actually accused of being the one
to kill Servelan (twas Epicurus who did the killing). Further, Gawain said
that I was also killed for "contempt of court." Well, how can someone
have anything but contempt for a court that refuses to even lay out its
rules? I asked them what the burden of proof was to be...if it was to be
found that 51% of the evidence was against me, or if it had to be
an absence of reasonable doubt, or if there had to be no doubt at all.
Odysseus' answer was simply that "I just have to think you are guilty."

So, to summarize, I was murdered because I didn't show the "proper respect"
to these two hooligans. Obviously I couldn't have been convicted on evidence,
as it was my word against Servelan's, and we all know she will lie to anyone
and everyone. Since I was accused of using telepathy, there could have been
no witnesses, as telepathy is invisible to anyone but the telepath and the
"victim".

Because Gawain and Odysseus were acting, by their own admission, as representatives of the Church, and not as individuals,
I will naturally be taking vengeance on the Church as a whole, and all its
members, save for Burstwurst, who protested against this whole farce.
You have sentenced the very people you want to protect to death. Well done.
