Sapience,

I write to declare my intention to seek Knighthood within the Order of the Eastern Sacraments.

I come before this candidacy not as one untested, but as one who has walked long in service to Lady Aurora. Through Her teachings, I shall continue to walk Her path in pursuit of Paradise.

Therefore, before I stand for this honour, I would settle what debts remain outstanding against my name.

If any among you hold grievance with me, whether of word, or deed, come to me directly and make it known. With our own citizens, and with those bound to us, we shall resolve such matters as the Lightbringer would have us resolve them.

But I extend no such grace to those who stand arrayed against our cause, who have taken up enmity against Targossas, against the Sacraments, or against the Light itself. To such as these I say, seek me out and speak your grievance. I shall answer it not with words, but with steel.

Should I fall upon that field, let it be known I fell facing my enemy unbowed and with Her name upon my lips. Victory is not owed to me. Only the courage to stand is mine to give, and that I give without reservation.

And should the Light favour me instead, let my victory be as clean as my cause. I will take no dishonour in triumph, boast of no conquest, and grant my foe the dignity deserved. That even in defeat may they know they faced a servant of Creation, one who will always extend a hand of redemption and clemency.

Let the challenge be met upon the field of honour, and let it be settled to the death. That neither doubt nor whispered accusation may follow me on this journey, unresolved.

I stand ready to answer for all that I am and all that I have done.
