Gravest tidings,

As much as I do not wish to interrupt whatever Kalys and friends are posting about, with the sudden onset and completion of the Third Persecution of the Rians - and the sad departure of many prominent members of the family from their home in the West - it has become clear to me that drastic action needs to be taken. As of the writing of this post, I am declaring myself caretaker Patriarch of the Rian family until such a time as they can demonstrate the capability to self-govern and have been accorded the respect deserved of such a storied bloodline. The remaining Rians will be working with me to restore the family's good name, but I ask that all Rian business be addressed to me until such a time.

Thank you to all who privately wished us encouragement, and I would ask that no further ridicule is directed towards the family as we navigate this trying period.
