in response to your post.... my memories cover a bit more than sixhundred years, I do remember perceiving the Gods of my youth as very, in lack of a better term, mysterious, maybe because I did not have much contact with Them? Lady Miramar and Lord Pentharian were the Ones I had moments of somewhat direct communication with (with the Lady on a family matter, with the Lord on city matters in Shallam in His time as patron). And I remember a very scary personal happening related to Lord Babel.

I was not in any Order, so I recall seldomly hearing Their voices when They shouted with Eachother, I believe it was usually related to theological matters? I do not remember the Shallamese divine speaking much on the citychannel, or the Magi Guild / House Crystalline channel. I remember if They did, it was usually to share Their wisdom, and I always felt so very thankful.

(I wonder whether Them speaking, at least in my recollection, seldomly on these very channels, compared to mortals speaking there, and also not very frequently on the Council clan, might also have to do with the fact that Shallam, the Jewel of the East, for most years of my life there, was a democracy, thus different than cities prospering as a theocracies.)

These memories are only my personal ones, of course, and I could picture the memories of other mortals back then, for instance those in Orders, could be very different. My memories, when it comes to Shallam only (since I never lived anywhere else back then) may likely additionally be flawed ones, not only due to being mere personal memories, from centuries long passed, but also, because I was very young, often overwhelmed by the wonders of this world (I often still am, but maybe in a different way)?
