Perversifications

Bro, what?

You got a real talent for sounding enlightened while saying absolutely nothing.

"Lying words have a distinct aroma." Do they. Marvellous. Describe it again, slower, so we can all pretend you have discovered smell.

You talk about truth like it is a hobby you picked up. A light step, peace in any tempest, stones on the heart, rotten seeds, purged by fire. That is not a warning. That is a performance. A sermon made out of adjectives.

Here is the part you did not include: a name, and a point.

If you "catch the lie out of the air with ease", catch it properly. Point at it. Say who. Say what. Say when. Otherwise you are not hunting lies, you are just tossing fog around and hoping everyone stumbles into the shape you want.

And you end with pity, too. Always pity. That is the best part. You get to sound merciful while you sharpen the knife. It is a neat trick, I will give you that.

So tell me. Is this about truth, or is it about you wanting everyone to look at you and think, "There goes someone too refined to be wrong."

Because I have met liars who sweat, liars who grin, liars who vanish in a flash of light, and the most exhausting kind are the ones who speak like this. They do not accuse. They announce. They do not prove. They perfume.

If you have something real, say it. If you do not, stop dressing up your nonsense in virtue and selling it as revelation.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Chronos, in the year 997 AF.
