Freedom and its cost

Villagers, townsfolk, and all of you who yearn to be free on Sapience:
Behold! The Empire of Dawn has dissolved, seen reason and come to understand their own sins. We must admire and congratulate them but never grow naive.
For it was no simple moral discussion that brought this about! I admit that I, too, was doubtful of my kin's plan, to poison cabbages in an attempt to bring attention to the plight of peasants and simple, honest folk all over Sapience. That was too violent, I thought, we thought! It would lead to nothing good.
And yet it has.
Take note, Sapience: even the great cities can be reasoned with. You must only remember to show up with a knife to the table.
Penned by my hand on the 4th of Ero, in the year 994 AF.
