Absolution is not Advancement

Caefir, I admit to not having all of the information on this situation, but from what I understand of your post, you have offered some peasant absolution for what seems to be the killing of Targossian children? I am an Archai of Mhaldor, the city of Evil, where we seek advancement through discipline and pain, thus, I can only imagine that you would assume that I would congratulate this peasant for his murder spree. However, you could not be more incorrect.

I hereby offer a clay chip, equivalent in value to 730,000 gold, to whichever Denizen or Adventurer brings me this peasant's head.

You offer clemency to someone who has only bestowed wasted potential upon your city. Mhaldor has a parable that is similar to this very situation in which the wailing and flailing of distraught mothers and fathers is nothing but music to His ears, but there is something you are missing in the meaning of this parable. This wailing and flailing is music as it is a call to action. We would not stoop so low as to block the advancement of any who wished to hunt down such killers and take their vengeance.

Thus, I offer all of Sapience an opportunity to reveal in His lessons and Truths. Advance, reach greatness. Find this killer who has simply absconded after his murderous spree in his own refusal to face the discipline and pain that should have thereafter followed, and be rewarded.

Once I have his head, I shall pike it outside of your city, so that your citizens, and citizens of all cities know, that such pointless murder, especially that which does nothing but wastes the potential of those not yet old enough to have heard His Truths and head West, is an antithesis to all that Mhaldor stands for. We wish for the advancement of ALL sentient life.

You may now ask where this indignation is towards the Aalen. To you I answer, they already have the ability to stop what is occurring there. Their King must simply come to Mhaldor and face the consequences he has wrought.

I offer this peasant the same opportunity. Come and face the consequences of wasted potential.

In Strength,
Tomekeeper Jems Aristata

I shall be verifying the identity of all peasent heads I receive.

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Sarapin, in the year 993 AF.
