Too Brief Perhaps

Written by: Kog Terias
Date: Tuesday, December 16th, 2025
Addressed to: Sir Milabar Si'Talvace, Lion Chancellor of Sol

Since the scribe took "briefest moment" too literally, here is a corrected version:

I don't have much use for these sort of posts, because I am well aware of the selective literacy at play. However, since it has been posted here I would be remiss to not correct it here.

Milabar, we all have a part to play. It is past time you learned yours. You are the Chancellor of Cyrene - for now. Lord Neraeos is more patient than I am, but one imagines you are rapidly churning through even His mercy.

You have no authority to promise "Last City" to anyone. You have no authority to offer deals on behalf of Lord Neraeos. He has a Voice, He has a Fist, and you are neither. One presumes your job is building sand castles beneath His waves and counting commodities, I'd suggest returning to that.

Under your leadership, Cyrene seems to have mixed up the order of "diplomacy" and "military" solutions, which is impressive since there are only two choices. Your "grand charge" was not to take over villages, it was to do what you thought was right and do it well. And you can't even manage to do that properly. I'd bet good gold you don't even have the support - or involvement - of your Senate to offer the deal that you pulled out of where you speak from.

If you ever see fit to offer a deal on His behalf again, I'll enemy you to His order myself. And then I'll leave you for the sharks to sort out.

In short, because I know you like to hear yourself talk but only made it through the first two lines before your eyes glazed: You are not Him. Shut up and sit down.

Kog Terias, Imperial Fist

Addendum: I don't know who was responsible for the spacing on parchment of my last post, but they were probably from Arcadia.

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Chronos, in the year 992 AF.
