The broken oaths of Cyrene

Lenhiema boora, King Tu'eras.

The hour grows late.

You write to a nation so consumed by imperialism that they would forsake any oath and cross any line for a chance to raise the fifth empire. This same nation would stand in alliance with Mhaldorians who hold the power to exterminate the very forests in which your people live.

Her Village remembers your will and shall not fail to honor it. We speak proudly of the day Eleusis fought to help liberate the Aalen from the shackles of undeath. Since decades past, it was Eleusis that relinquished its hold on the Aalen when your will was made clear. And so recently that our blood is not yet dry amidst the trees of your home, it was Eleusians who laid down countless lives and prevented the subjugating forces of Cyrene and Mhaldor from conquering your land.

But as colonizers do, they returned and this time we could not hold back the salted tide. Nor do we claim the strength to do so alone, so far from home. It is with sorrow that we now watch Cyrene's brutality - even this month, Cyrenian soldiers were heard to suggest of Queen Mother Celaabi while standing in her bedroom: "kill her and replace her with a new more willing queen".

The blood of our rangers will be shed to attempt to free your village from its conquerors - there is no courage without danger for us valiant few. But should we fail, I beseech you: hold no hope that the snakes of Cyrene will heed your warning, for an oath once broken is easily made and broken again.
