The reign of those before me has ended, their echoes swallowed by storm and salt. The seas remember their names, but it is my voice that now guides our course as the new Pirate King.

Centuries of history have led to this moment, and I intend to carve the next chapter in cannon fire and iron will.

To any who feel the pull of the tide, rookie or veteran, hear this - the Pirates of Meropis are taking recruits. I don't care which city you live in or the beliefs you have, as long as you live by the Pirate Code and swear yourself to our banner you are welcome into our ranks. Refuse us and you will pay dearly for passage.

And to those who fancy themselves pirate hunters, know this, every life you steal, every ship sunk, only hardens our resolve and sharpens our wrath. We are not done and we're coming for you.
