A Magnanimous Offer

Shadowed Court,
I have heard of your troubles with a pretender King, and now you weather edicts from a petulant Regent who enjoys wielding power before considering the consequence. An embargo of the northern continent's busiest port is a bold move by a politician (Not the Seneschal, I note) who has overseen a great exodus of his nation's capable warriors.
If Hashan still wrestles with the character and efficacy of its rulers, and wishes times of stability and thoughful leadership, then I would offer my helm into the ring. For a modest tithe and pledge to the Ducal Seat of Aster Malik and its noble line, I would accept Hashani vassalage, and I would pledge to uphold the right and just administration of Hashan's laws for all Hashani citizens. In Seleucarian fashion, it matters not if Hashan's ideals differ from my own, for indeed Seleucar was a cosmopolitan empire, where all walks of life met tolerance and equity.
As a magnanimous liege, I would vow to always appoint a Hashani citizen as my Seneschal, free to manage your city in name of the Ducal Seat, but with the blessing of my even-handed rule when the difficult matters of governance come up. To make the cultural transition paintless, I already bear the title of 'Regent', and I--more than some--take seriously the duties of such an office.
