As the public boards are the first place we were informed about this directive, it will be the place where this directive is answered.
To the Regency of Hashan:
I beseech the recalling of the order to expel all Eleusians from the borders of Tasur'ke, regardless of their conduct. Tasur'ke is a small village, reliant upon the presence of visitors for its prosperity. Whether they come aboard merchant ships bringing trade goods and paying harbour fees, or on foot to enjoy the picturesque seaside town and purchase the exotic wares in the markets, tourism and mercantilism contribute highly to the livelihood of the village. Maintaining this directive will only bring harm to our allies, both in terms of revenue and reputation.
I fear this ban was made in haste, without due consideration for Tasur'ke's well-being, and that it may rouse those within our town who already believe Hashan exploits the alliance between us for its own benefit, with little regard for their future.
And to the Citizens of Tasur'ke :
As the appointed envoy to your village, I will avail myself to all who wish to speak with full candour in the upstairs lounge of the Flowering Sands Inn. Please feel free to drop in for a cup of tea whenever you wish to, and no words will be left unheard.
