Is that all?

To the Speaker of Eleusis,
I find myself bemused by your sudden commitment to the preservation of life. Where was this dire affect when Lady Gaia sent the Hollowheart Bloom into Ashtan's most vulnerable and impoverished quarters to murder our citizens? Not that I shed a single tear over the demise of urchins and drunks, mind you, but the irony is a bit rich for my unrefined tastes.
A similar question may be asked of Lake Narcisse and its people, which Eleusis summarily wiped out in the face of the pervasive Blight. Again, I may do naught but applaud your bloodthirsty nature and penchant for foetid carnage. To put one's finger to the scales of existence and decree: "No.", is a gift so rarely indulged, and remains so sweet in the Rendering.
You have a knack for it, despite your repeated efforts to publicly backtrack from such unpleasant things.
Pick your poison, Speaker Ilsefi. Embrace peace, or embrace P.E.A.C.E. This righteous condemnation of violence only when it is wielded against you and yours rings ever-hollower each time, and a lamentation for the damned is a waste of bated breath.
"For on that day will the sea be as steam and the land be as ash, and the Adversary shall be cast down to weep at the sight of the encroaching nothing. Revelation shall be that most blessed gift, the first and last truth transcribed upon the crumbling canvas of Creation: that to resist was the most futile act, and that all things end."
