Happy New Year to you all.
Our portrait gallery showing has now drawn to a close. Over the course of its run, countless visitors came to walk among the works, pausing to reflect upon the skill and vision on display. I want to express my deepest appreciation for each of you. Thank you for allowing us to showcase the hard work and dedication of the artists and thank you as well for sending in your votes.
I am delighted to share that, through the generosity of several anonymous donors, I am able to recognize the top three artist selections. Each separated by only the narrowest of margins:
First Place: A vegetable-rendered canvas of Eglentine, the cook by Blackwillow Blackwing
Second Place: A canvas of Krogg and a falling star by Poxie Xeh'ria
Third Place: A divided painting of Irilan, the Black Emissary by Jurixe S. Nithilar
To the artists who gave their time, vision, and skill, I extend my heartfelt gratitude. Without your contributions, there would have been no gallery, only empty walls awaiting color and story.
Though the gallerys doors are now shuttered for this season, its spirit lingers in the memories of those who attended, and in the works themselves, which have etched their subjects into the living record.
With thanks to all who joined in this endeavor, whether as artist or guest.
- K. Moliuvia and Countess Nezaya Visindi, Witch
Penned by my hand on the 19th of Sarapin, in the year 986 AF.
