Scion,
Your argument is peppered with the assumptions that so often pass for received wisdom among enemies of the Seat, each of which could have been dispelled with a brief conversation. I grow tired of hearing such misapprehensions parroted by those who cannot be bothered to make even a cursory inquiry with those about whom they speak. I believe this matter has already been addressed within the Sodality and by the Skylord Himself, but allow me to correct the record publicly as well.
Chaos brings Ruin, yes - that utter devastation that clears way for the new - and it is through Chaos that Creation unravels. But to characterise Chaos as destruction alone is incorrect, for it is also creation and inspiration and above all else transfiguration. Chaos is a bringer of change and fount of potential, that which frees us from the shackles of Ayar's design and empowers us to Ascend beyond the limits of mortality. For in every unravelling there is the possibility that one with the requisite mettle may take up the thread and weave from it something greater. You will not understand Ashtan until you understand this.
Lord Vastar is not a god of Chaos, certainly. But His continued presence in the Seat is more than a relic of historical inertia. To claim otherwise betrays a profound ignorance of Ashtan and its goals.
Many students of Chaos count themselves as members of His Sodality, myself included. You will even encounter a few Nihilists there (for as I suspect you have been made aware, Chaos and Oblivion are not one and the same). The next time you feel moved to speak as an authority on Ashtan's ways and aims, I invite you to ask a question or two first. We will answer.
