Greetings Sapience,

Recently a series of prophecies were shared that have left a sense of cautious anticipation in my mind. Regular reference to the Moon both true and false have left me wondering just how many are familiar with the triune visages of the Trisagia, Lady Ourania. As such, I am here to offer a primer on the faces She often takes, what each represents, and how they relate to Her Realm. Recreations of old drawings are also appended.

Skuld, The Eternal Maiden

The youngest of Lady Ourania's visages, seen during the Waxing Moon. Skuld is Future potential personified, a promising youth and the Huntress of Time with the vitality and energy that comes with that.
-------------
Spiralling curls of golden blonde cascade over the thin shoulders of Skuld, the Eternal Maiden. A silver ribbon is wrapped around her forehead and trails fluttering down her back, holding the curls back from her ivory complexioned face. Her wide, flashing eyes are unfathomable pools of jet black and no pupils are discernable within their depths. A delicate moonbow is slung over her shoulder, hanging closely to a narrow quiver of slender white arrows.
-------------

Verthani, The Fruitful Matron

Seen only during the Full Moon, Verthandi the Matron is a personification of Fertility and growth. fierce in protecting the Goddess's chosen. Weaving a skein of the Present, she represents the eternal nature of Change.
-------------
Draped in the soft russet folds of a bowl-necked woolen gown, Verthandi, the Fruitful Matron rests here as she briefly relieves herself of the weight of her expectant form. Bright green eyes glow warmly from beneath dishevelled, honey-coloured strands of hair, and her round cheeks are flushed with exertion. One or the other of her strong, weathered hands can be seen resting upon her ample girth from time to time as a slight smile plays across her features.
-------------

Urdu, the Crone of Reckoning

The embodiment of the accumulated wisdom of the Past, experience, and the certainty of Death. Teh Crone is the oldest of Lady Ourania's visages, her appearance during the Waning Moon is a reminder of the Fate of all as the cycle moves to begin again.
-------------
The hunched form of an old, wizened crone lingers here, enveloped in a cowled robe of slate grey that billows around her withered form.White wisps of silken hair drift and sway around the sides of the deep hood obscuring her weathered visage, excepting only the glimmer of her wide green eyes. In who gnarled, twisted hands she grasps a knotted staff of charred and blackened wood and leans heavily upon it for support.
-------------

Change is a daunting thing, ever present in its pursuit, but like an older woman reminded us all during Adryn's gathering. It is a beautiful thing, for even at the end of a cycle, even in death, there is hope and potential in the beginning of the next.
