Two faces, one evil

Lo-da'i n-na'ath,

Civilisation convinces you that it is the only way to live: that you must always subject yourself to the laws of some civilising force, that the only 'natural' way to live is to be surrounded by walls and obey their laws. You have the freedom to choose which city you might call home, but you must always remember that this choice is itself a prison from which you can free yourself. The wilds are not an easy place to live, whether upon the boughs of Eleusis or beyond, but only within them can you truly find yourself free of civilisation and its endless degradations.

Whether the flag is purple, blue, red, gold, or whatever colour Hashan flies, all cities are places of oppression: no matter if the fist is gloved in velvet or mail, it will crush you down into that bland subservient paste.

Consider the wilds.

Forever an enemy to civilisation,
Treyal Wintermourne

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Phaestian, in the year 976 AF.
