Actually, the vampires originally became restless because of the shrines. The lord vampire himself made a post regarding this, though I don't remember which one. He declared long ago that his minions would roam until the shrines were destroyed. The church didn't seem to care, they never went down there except near their trusty shrines. I propose that either the church eliminates the threat by bringing down the shrines, or by killing the master vampire. Do they not see it as their duty to destroy what they perceive as evil? I don't think I've ever seen them lift a finger to do so.

As for Portis's post... you don't need to state that Druids are foolish, it is an obvious point. Upon joining the druids, a new recruit has approximately 96% of their brain removed. This is an ancient practice dating back to the days when the druids first formed, noone seems to remember why. I was a druid and still suffer side effects to this day.
