On Sparrows and Song

Ladies, Gentlemen, and Faefolk,

For several years, I have been labouring upon a task of a solemn and artistic nature. Now, with no small amount of aid from the people of Eleusis, my task is ready to be presented to the world.

It my great honour to invite you to join myself and Raem Callahan in sharing with you three works honouring the memory of Sparrow's Rest, the druidic village that was tragically lost to the Prince of Woe's corruption of Yggdrasil almost thirty years ago.

Our presentation will take place seven Serenades from this posting, on Lupar the 9th, 940AF. It will be held in the Western Ithmia, beside where Sparrow's Rest once stood, at the "animal-beaten woods" near the Elmwood. All those who remember Sparrow's Rest, all those who fought to protect it, and all those who know not of it but wish to learn, are welcome.

I would like to take a moment here to extend my deepest thanks to the many Eleusians with whom I spoke whilst researching this project. Raem, Blackwillow, Tukio, Erikka, Argwin, and all the rest of the many people who were kind enough to share their deep and personal memories with me regarding Sparrow's Rest, thank you: without your heartfelt sincerity and openness, this endeavour would never have been completed.

We look forward to seeing you there, you would honour the memory of Sparrow's Rest with us.

In Song,
Taelle Starling

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Sarapin, in the year 940 AF.
