divinities, to be used as oracles of truth in matters such as this.
The orphanage does indeed harm children, as Servelan is well aware.
Further, the altars of the Church are definitely not used for human sacrifice,
despite whatever various people may claim.

Servelan, if you had not foolishly lied directly to me, I would
