Seneschal,

You are indeed correct that words cost nothing and mean almost the same. I too was not present for the events that took place during the third Black Wave, but I, like you, represent the will of the people we were elected to lead. The events that took place were Cyrenea darkest days. We are not short lived upon this continent, and many do not forget.

The agreement was set in place due to the refusal of the previous leadership of Hashan to acknowledge or apologise for aiding in the atrocities that happened within our walls, something that, to this day, we still see the scars and effects in what it left behind.

This symbolic acknowledgement of what happened is sufficient for us to move on and continue redefining the relationship between our two cities.

We may never see eye to eye, and there is always a possibility that we may cross weapons, but we extend an invitation to yourself and the Regency of Hashan to attend our upcoming Resistance Festival, so that you may witness firsthand the importance of these past events to our fair city.
