The next Great Joust

Lo-da'i, Sapients. Warm summer tidings to you all.

The time has come again for the Gaian Knights to host the next Great Joust. Having been duly impressed by the prowess displayed by civilians during the recent Tournament of the Aster Knights, the Gaian Knights seek fresh and worthy challengers, and as such, we willextend the invitation of participation to non-knights for the first time.

In five months time, on the 22nd of Chronos in the year 913 AF, the assembled jousters of the world will make their way to the recently-opened tiltyards in Aster Town upon Meropis to compete against the finest lancers in the lands. Registration of intent is not necessary; simply show up with lances and a mount at the right time.

There, members of the Guild of Knights' member orders will compete against eachother and against any non-knight jouster who wishes to tilt, provided they can successful maintain a degree of respect and decorum with their fellow lancers. We are peoples of pride and of honour, not mere rapescallions with a stick.

If you are not a knight, but -would- like to participate or to learn more, have a look at HELP JOUSTING and consider joining the Delosian Jousting League (CLANHELP DJL). There, you will find many like-minded lancers always eager to meet a challenge, and you will get good practice honing your skills.

As is tradition, prizes will be offered to the top entrants. This time around, the Gaian Knights pledge:

To the victor: a gift of seventy-five credits and a unique or customised suit of armour
To the first runner-up: a gift of fifty credits and a rare weapon of their choosing
To the second runner-up: a gift of twenty-five credits

We look forward to seeing what challenge you all may bring.
