An Invitation

Lo-da'i, foreigners - good springtide to you all.

You receive this missive that we may extend our humble invitation to those interested parties to attend and cheer on your comrades at an upcoming jousting tournament, to be hosted by the Gaian Knights, this coming 21st of Aeguary, 908 AF.

Some years ago, the Gaian Knights hosted our first great joust, open only to those among the land who walk the knightly path. In this, we saw Squire Ardor emerge victorious, rightfully-earning the title 'Hammer of Hashan.' Today, we prepare again to meet our foes upon the tilting yard in Delos with the aim of unseating all challengers and emerging victorious.

Today, we extend that invitation to all those who may wish to attend. So long as you are able to remain fairly well-behaved while in attendance, you are heartily invited to come cheer on your chivalric comrades as we compete for victory. While participation is limited to members of the Guild of Knights, refreshments shall be provided for any would-be onlookers, well-wishers, and bettors.

Na'an aramad tsalaika'a - drawing from the dual-lineage inherited from our connections to the ancient Aalen Knights and to the modern Guild of Knights, the Wildwood Queen's knightly order embraces the hardship of winter with a mind toward the spring that shall come. We recognize the benefits of matching our mettle against all challengers, and in this instance, we pledged a bounty of one-hundred credits to the winner of the tournament.

With the Order of Aster Malik generously contributing funds of their own and with an offer from an anonymous smith, the total prize pool currently includes two-hundred credits and a uniquely-fashioned lance of the winner's choosing.

Any seeking to further demonstrate the chivalric virtue of generosity by adding to the above-noted pool need only reach out to Ser Aerek Ancyrion or myself to arrange details. Particularly generous donations may see the donor's name memorialized in the annals of our traditions and treasured memories.

Laiq tsuura - in strength,

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Aeguary, in the year 907 AF.
