Amusingness, the second chapter

Ladies, gentlemen, quadrupeds, and fayad. Please lend me your ears while I embark upon what may be my now second public post ever. Having listened to all the hoo-ha and people talking about and around me I figured it was time to say a few things. First, since some people such as Speakers, sayers, or whatever people in charge in Eleusis are called, can't seem to understand the difference between me, Bellis, the person, and CIJ, the House, let me clarify these facts.

1. Danna gave me Bellis, the person, a lot of books before retirement and gave me the choice to do what I wanted with them, but she was ok with CIJ if that is what I wished.

2. Bellis, the person, returned all ambassador logs and whatever things I saw that pretained to the workings of Eleusis, Argwin and Andraste both got a few things.

3. Bellis, the person, decided to give the 21 books to the CIJ for safekeeping and eventually have them distributed to whoever wanted the knowledge. This is why Cyrene, Jinsun, Ereia, and possibly a few others have various tomes. Tilia was in the process of working with Hashan to have the books included in their library. For anyone who wants copies, form an orderly queue and we will get to you.

Now, that we have those three facts established let's get to something else. Willow says "At that point, do you think Anatral then said don't worry about giving back the tomes, you keep them and we'll just take copies, and they said okay, we don't need any payment, then he skipped off and donated them a handful of gold for their troubles?" in her post.

Well Then! I am meticulous and keep records of things from as far back as when I was 18. Let us see what Anatral said himself on this matter during our time since apparently the speaker seems to think she was there and can quote a conversation she was not party to.

Anatral - We decided, at great length, to no longer keep our order secrets, since our Order ceased to be. So I have no complaint with you keeping the books, but I would like to request copies of them, yes.

Anatral - I do thank you. I place my trust in you. It is a little like negotiating with the legitimate owner of long-lost stolen family jewels. Nobody is in the wrong.

Anatral - And after all, I am now only asking for copies of the books.

Of course, the dastardly hard-to-deal-with villains WOULD claim they were innocent so lets quote some things -I-, Bellis, the person, said.

Bellis - We all view things differently ya know? But don't worry we will get what you need.

Bellis - Rhydian has to rest, so it will have to wait till a little bit later. Either way I will stay on top of it and make sure they are either delivered in person or by mail. I don't think the price for copying is that high.

Now to clarify, the CIJ, the House, never asked for money for anything to do with Anatral. In fact, he offered to cover the cost of copies. That is the only gold we took, which I think is fair and pretty standard, but for those who just CAN'T BELIEVE IT, please read it for yourself.

Anatral - I have offered to pay, to assist in the labour, and to make that request in good faith.

Some time later.....

Anatral - Thank you, this copy is a perfectly acceptable replacement.

Anatral - Sorry, It has been a trying few months. I hold your house in great esteem, and thank you for your help in this matter of great importance to a few old servants of Lady Artemis.

Now obviously these quotes were taken from a conversation spanned a bit of time as we strove to untangle the knot we found ourselves in, but I trust my point is now clear.

I want to leave you guys with another gem of a quote, Bellis, the person, says as she laughs fiendishly.

Bellis - We can both take care of them that way. I promise they will be safe with us. Heck.. until recently Eleusis and the CIJ were kind of close.

I do want to stress that until a certain small-brained simian rudely barreled into a conversation before a major event, and demanded things, tossed around the threat of violence, insulted me and my long gone friend to my face, Bellis, the person, had no issues with Eleusis. I would suggest that in the future Eleusis keeps in mind that learning diplomacy from wild animals is fine if you are dealing with... savages, but maybe you can get him some training classes. Heck! One day he may even be able to fetch and roll over.

Either way, everything I say here is once again my own opinion. Me. Bellis, the person, who just wanted to hash some things out with people who seem to think they know what happened despite not being there, or bothering to talk to those who were, and are for sure the saltiest people this side of the Sapphire sea.

Speaking honestly and verbally slapping lies out of vine wranglers mouths since 903.

- Bellis Malicieux

P.S. Shoutout to Tilia, who as always is right.

P.S.S - Anyone else tired of all these damn vines?

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Sarapin, in the year 903 AF.
