People of Sapience,

As some of you may know, I was selected to arbitrate this book custody conflict (thank you, Speaker, for your faith in me). Both parties have presented to me their evidence and I have reviewed and come to a decision.

In the matter of Eleusis vs the CIJ, this arbiter has made the following findings:

One, through gross negligence and absolutely catastrophic stewardship on the part of Danna and others, the legal ownership of these books did in fact pass to the CIJ.

Two, terms were agreed upon by both parties and those terms were partially satisfied at the time the Ambassador records being returned to an Eleusian representative.

Three, the return of the remaining tomes was to be accompanied by a transfer payment from Eleusis to the CIJ. This payment was never made, rendering the remaining part of that transaction void.

Fourth, the CIJ were found to be uncharacteristically trustworthy in their dealings with Anatral, Blackwillow and others.

The summary of this verdict is that Eleusis is ordered to pay to the CIJ a sum of 2100 credits and the CIJ is ordered to return the original books to the Eleusian library. The CIJ are furthermore cautioned against negotiating in bad faith under the guise of 'humour', and Eleusis or Eleusian representatives are required to make a public apology to Rhydian and the CIJ for the defamation against their character.

Thank you all for your attention and please enjoy your freshly-arbitrated day.
