Rhydian,

You disgrace yourself with your lies, and I wish I didn't have to be the one to point them out.

You say that the books you received from Danna were a donation, but this is a lie. The books you received not only contained 21 books from the Anachaine library, but also 10 books containing the Ambassador's records of Eleusis, books that Danna had received when she became Ambassador from Mina, her predecessor. I suppose it's feasible that Danna gave all 31 books to you as a donation of some kind, but any reasonable person would realize that such a 'donation' was not made in good faith at all.

You say that Eleusis reneged on some kind of deal, but this is also a lie. You yourself stated that the copies that were given to Anatral were coordinated and completed through Anatral, not through Eleusis. No deal was ever made with the village of Eleusis for us to go back on. Even this post reflects my own reaction, not Eleusis' reaction. We are a village, but a village made of individuals, and many of us were never happy to receive copies of those books, including myself.

You say that the books contain sentimental value, but then you 'auction' them to the highest bidder, so clearly any sentimental value is not on your part. The books are wholly a means to gain wealth for you. You are abusing Eleusis' sentiments to demand we pay a high value for them.

You say that Blackwillow has no backbone because she's 'allow[ing] the previous Speaker to dictate the course of Eleusis' but also hold her to Aodfionn's supposed comments about "a king's ransom". Should we be following Aodfionn's words or shouldn't we? Apparently whichever is most convenient to you and your attempts to gain significant wealth for the CIJ it seems.

You say that the library of Eleusis is not secure, but the only loss we've ever incurred is the loss of these books, supposedly 'donated' by our former librarian. Either these books were stolen, which means you're holding stolen items and demanding payment for them, or they were donated, and our library has a 100% perfect record of security.

You say that the books wouldn't be available to the whole world by being in our library, but then you give the CIJ library as an alternative, in a House estate that can only be accessed with your permission, in a library that can only be used by members of the CIJ. The only libraries in all of Sapience more restrictive than House owned libraries are personal libraries in subdivision or out of subdivision housing.

You say that Lady Artemis was separate from Eleusis, and while technically true, She was our most frequent and longest serving patron. She was a Nature Divine, and we are the established Centre of Nature. And most importantly, the books were removed from the Anachaine library by an Eleusian with the intent of putting it in the Eleusian library. Perhaps if you had an intent to set up some kind of publicly accessible library where these books could be stored, or perhaps if you had submitted them to the library in New Thera, this weak excuse could be stomached, but instead, as already stated, you're hiding them away in a library no one can use, and you made no effort until now to make any offer to the public allowing them to access these books. Lady Artemis may not have been exclusively 'ours' as you say, but She sure as anything isn't 'yours' either.

You say that extortion is a means of gaining something through force or threats, and your so-called offer to sell the books back to us came down to 'pay us what we want or we'll auction the books off to the highest bidder'. You started off saying that you weren't extorting Eleusis, and end by extorting Eleusis.

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Mayan, in the year 902 AF.
