False Chivalry

Written by: Ser Aerek Ancyrion, Aster Regent

Eleusian affairs are not my affairs, but matters of the Guild of Knights are.

Before you speak of another's sense of Chivalry, know that you understand it not a whit. Your negotiations with the Guild imperiled the Gaian Knights' recognition. We became bewildered at your litany of qualms with even basic precepts of honour, and your stated willingness to break knightly oaths if so commanded. We were further unimpressed to discover that you had exaggerated your authority within the Gaian Knights, your naked ambition evident. Eleusian savagery does not justify such flexible principles, and even before your internal struggles, the self-proclaimed Order of the Owl appeared more knightly than what you brought before us. Only when Sir Cwincan reached out to us, directly, was the Gaian bid salvaged.

It remains to be seen whether Farrah Roualt embraces Seleucarian honour and brings the Gaian Knights into our ranks, but, thus far, Aster Malik is satisfied with her candidacy.

Aster Regent

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Valnuary, in the year 893 AF.
