Misunderstandings and assumptions

Hello Mhaldor!

There seems to be some sort of confusion here. Eleusis's vivification had nothing to do with my research. It merely impacted it. I was no more involved with their vivification than I was with the extermination that I also stood witness to by one of your citizens.

I had been exploring areas of Mhaldor Isle when I happened upon a room whose plants were particularly black and burned. After collecting some samples, I reached out to an Eleusian and asked questions about whether Vivification had had an impact on that room in the past, if it had been vivified before and if it would be vivified again soon. I noted my observations to them, and presumably, they passed those observations on to others. Whence they arrived, they warned I should leave and I declined, as I was interested in seeing how the resulting fight would impact the phenomenon I was researching.

After leaving and returning, they vivified the area, having no effect on the abnormalities I had witnessed. Subsequently they left, and a Serpent from His city attacked me. We spoke briefly, where they warned there would be a fight and that I would likely be killed if it came to the area. I informed them I needed to see the impact of extermination as well, and so I welcomed the risk of death.

Shortly after, a different citizen of His city came and spoke with me. I explained the phenomenon I had witnessed and that I was remaining so I could witness the impact of extermination upon it. They exterminated and then shortly after they left. I collected a third set of samples, and then left as well.

At no point was I involved in any combat, save for when I was attacked, and I arrived before the Village was aware of the phenomenon to my understanding, and they were just as disinterested in my presence as anyone else was.

Hopefully that clears things up, though I'm happy to help with any other misconceptions or misunderstandings about the situation that you might have.
