Eleusis,

The first post was a parable, to show you where this will take you.

This post is to explain.

Cyrene chose to embrace Alchemy among its ranks many years ago in order to not be subject to another power or entity. Cyrene is the city of Autonomy, not of subjugation.

We were told when this decision was made (by the same Divine, by the way, who rules you now and presents these "terms") that there could be no taking back of the nature classes due to it.

Yet in these negotiations, you state that Cyrene could allow forestals among its ranks once again if we agree to the terms.

The fact that in any agreement made before can just be overridden or suddenly changed after the fact brings up two points I would like all Eleusians to understand.

When can we trust you?

Can we take you at your word?

If we were to suddenly let Nature overtake Cyrene, when would that not be good enough? How much farther would that line change?

We knew full well that this "negotiation," especially after the Jade Empress graced us with Her Patronage, was to wash your hands clean of the situation. We knew that its insistence only meant that you wanted an excuse to incite conflict.

Since Eleusis has essentially declared war on the rest of civilisation, it is now clear.

War rules Eleusis now. Not Nature.
