Weapons of War

Greetings, Sapience.

I pen this post for I wish to ask the assistance of you all with a project I've long entertained.

A project that pertains to the field of battle, and the weapons we employ in conducting war. War, we Aegeans have long taught, its not just the strident clash of weapons in the field. Yet it the thunderous clashes and the roaring cries of pain and anger, victory and defeat that most often capture an audience's mind, and lend themselves to remembrance in the songs of bards, the tales of gypsies, and the dusty tomes of history.

But what story or tale is complete without the great weapons employed by both villains and heroes, knights and blackguards? It is for this reason I seek those of you who either wrought or simply wield, by your own ability and wit, or by the creativity of another, great weapons to inspire terror or awe in the field.

Whether beautiful or monstrous or simply elegant, my aim is to create an illustrated and expansive manuscript with depictions of the great weapons of the Modern Age, to be hosted, fittingly, in the archives of the Order of War, where anyone not enemied will have freedom to peruse the tome.

For those of you who would have their weapon of choice remembered for all time, full descriptions are a must. So is a declaration of who forged or designed the weapon, who was the intended wielder, their places of residence at the time of creation, inspiration, as well as any other miscellaneous bit of lore or information that might better represent it to the realm at large.

Awaiting to hear from you,

Shirszae Nynniaw,
Warbringer of Aegis

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Scarlatan, in the year 841 AF.
