Hello everyone,

I thought about sharing a small Logosmas story with you all. It's a little thing I wrote several Logosmases ago for my Village. The story is also archived in the Village library to be checked out if you want to read it some other time.

Let the spirits of Logosmas grace you all with friends, families and even enemies. Hey.. Enemies deserve the warm fuzzy feeling of Logosmas!

Everybody in the small village of Eleusis loved Logosmas a lot. Their faces lit up with anticipation of Ironbeard's special visits and gifts. Who wouldn't like such a wonderful visit from the hearty Dwarf bearing fantastic gifts?

Except for the Tsol'teth who lived above the humble village, atop her huge fortress that can be seen from afar.

She hated Logosmas! The whole cheery season!!

No one knew why she hated Logosmas. Or her reason.

It could be that her robe was too tight. Or her head not screwed on right.

Maybe it is because her heart was tiny and black!

Whatever the reason, she stood atop her huge fortress that eve hating the Eleusians and their cheery Logosmas.

Staring down from her perch atop her stone home, Maal'bahar frowned at the warm light lighting up the windows of their homes.

She knew every villager down in Eleusis was busy hanging their glittery stockings.

"And they're hanging their stockings," she snarled with a bitter sneer. "Tomorrow is Logosmas!! It's almost here!"

She watched the merry village go about their way hanging shiny stockings and singing cheery songs.

"I must find a way to keep Logosmas from coming... Tomorrow, those brats will wake bright and early to rush to their toys!"

Maal'bahar grimaced at the noise from below, screaming, " Noise noise noise! Oh the noise!!"

The Tsol'teth fretted, her narrowed eyes gazing upon the village singing and drinking far below. She muttered," How do I stop Logosmas? How?!"

She suddenly had an idea! A brilliant and nasty idea!

"I will make a quick beard and a fake giftbag."

Empty giftbag in her fist, the Tsol'teth climbed the roof of the first house she came upon. Her beard disguised, Maal'bahar slid down the chimney into the house.

Tiny stockings hung everywhere.

"Stockings must go!!"

She cast a shadow to fill up the house. Like magic, the stockings vanished into her fake giftbag!

Every house the grouchy Tsol'teth hit, she snatched this, that and that! Gifts, stockings and cookies all poofed into her giftbag!

"Pooh pooh to them! When they wake up, there will be no Logosmas coming!"

She laughed atop a house before ascending into the sky with her giftbag full of stolen stockings, gifts and cookies.

A sound stopped the Tsol'teth. She heard a low sound rising over the village, puzzled.

Everyone down in the sleepy village stood together and sang a cheery Logosmas song. Presents or not, they stood together and sang.

"How could it be so? I stopped Logosmas!!"

Maal'bahar thought hard and long until something struck her.

Maybe Logosmas didn't come from a store. Maybe it meant something more.

The Tsol'teth felt her tiny heart grow just a little less blackened. She snarled, throwing her fake giftbag down to the village.

"Maybe next year, I will find a better way to stop Logosmas!"

With that, she faded into the shadows of the night not to be seen again for a time.
