Misguided Interpretations

The title "Academic" does not suit you well, Kaburia. Your recent posting possesses no practical relevance beyond religious sophistry. The Seat of Chaos does not seek an all-encompassing Void. You've woefully misquoted Jinsun.

As a Nihilist, Jinsun embraces the teachings of Lord Babel and its phrasings, and your issue with them is clearly based on religious differences and utter ignorance. Those who have even a modicum of understanding of his Master's teachings glean that they do not seek to bring about the end of the World.

Oblivion is an inevitably. Nothing anyone does or does not do will impact its approach.

The Cult of Babel has shed blood many times in defense of our city and its inhabitants. The most recent Tsol'teth invasion provides proof of this. The Cult's aim, as I understand it, is to find meaning in serving Lord Babel, knowing what will become of existence. This goal of finding purpose when facing a meaningless existence should be of interest to you in particular since the antiquated sensibilities that drive you are already obsolete.

Ashtan is guided by the Ruinous Accords and Key of Iron and Gold to manifest Chaos upon the Prime toward its Dominion, not its destruction. Only those who are of the Seat of Chaos are called to this aim. Only we are offered the fullness of its mysteries by the Eldritch Imperator Glaaki, and only we hold the future right to rule as members of his Chaos Court.

Your fellow Hashani heretic, Argwin, is equally wrong in his treatment of the topic of Chaos. What we seek to 'tear down' are the false trappings of this world that enfold its inhabitants in the embrace of inertia. Similarly false is his contention that anyone hopes to use Chaos to manipulate reality into what it "should be." Even novices of the Seat understand that Chaos has no intention. It is predictable in only one way: That it changes all things it comes into contact with.

That alone is our goal: The unleashing of this realm's true potential. Once the bonds of its limitations have stripped, what will be shall become.

That this state of perfect capability will lead to Chaos' Dominion is an inevitability. As such, the Imperator of the Infernal Throne's aims being made manifest will be an obvious outcome. But do not be foolish enough to suggest that you know his mind. You are specks of dust that do not so much as register in his eye let alone comprehend his enlightened will.

We of the Seat of Chaos do, at times, awaken the minds of the unenlightened. It is the specific role of the Savants of the Wheel is to reach out to those willing to listen to the possibility of Ascension, helping them understand the nature of Chaos in breaking and bending the patterns placed upon them by the initial Creation.

Ultimately, we prepare them to either embrace its Truth and aid in introduce more Chaos in the world or make ready to succumb to its power. I urge you to seek one of us out, not to debate your addled ideas, but to ensure you are able to enjoy the delectable fruit of Chaos' labours in its fullest hour.

In closing, the misguided interpretations of Chaos as of late on these boards are clearly influenced by antiquated religious beliefs. While I cannot fault anyone an admiration for the Lord Commander's wife or Her former philosophies, those who actually serve as allies to the Chaos Plane understand that our aims are much greater and not tied to a specific divinity.

This theological lens through which you view Chaos has limited your understanding and ensures only your ruin in the coming age of Chaos' reign. Turn aside from it before it's too late.

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Daedalan, in the year 804 AF.
