An oft-repeated song

It must be so tiring, Eleusis. To sing the same song over and over in the hopes that someday it will actually stick.

But, you know, I must admit to some puzzlement. You are so sure of your superiority yet you seem a little desperate, what with touting that particular horn so constantly. One cannot help but wonder if perhaps you are just trying to be clever, hide desperation behind a front of surety. I don't know. It might be that you really believe what you spout, but lets be frank, you would say the same thing no matter what. History has proven such in the past. It was proved when the Ithmias burned and the village was reduced to a pile of cinders by Mhaldor, and yet you won. It was proved when the Nihilists toyed with you for their sport, littering the Ithmias with your bones. And yet from the Halls of Death you again bellowed your victory.

It is no different now. On and on, you do little but waddle with words as your village burns and your soldiers die. Truly, the only difference is that before the Village could at least claim to be fighting its own battles. If nothing else, there was an undeniable beauty in the fact only those sworn to Nature fought for Her. But now? Now you hide behind Ashtani and behind Chaos, and while some might call it an improvement, to realize their lacks and seek other alternatives to make up for them, I can't help but feel sorry. To see Nature sold so cheaply to those who by no means hold Her best interest in their hearts only confirms the depths of the mire Eleusis has sunk to, and no amount of your barking will ever conceal that fact.

Yet despite this constant, noisome interference, we have stood. Fighting by ourselves, we have killed you, and we have killed them. I will admit, you have struck back, at times. But tell me truly, are you content with laying those victories at the feet of foreigners? You cannot even claim you do it to match our Tsol'teth allies, for they no longer bolster our ranks. So consider this, while the rubble is cleared and the corpses are laid to rest, when the inevitable bickering and yelling and boasting comes to an end.

Can you truly claim victory when your victories, when your very soldiers, are not your own?

I think not.

Signed,
Shirszae Nynniaw,
General of War.
