An Honest Living

Sapience,

It takes a fool to deny what he so obviously is. I am a pirate. With the exception of naval vessels and a few well earned enemies, you may pay me for your freedom on the seas. Otherwise, you will sink. Call it extortion, call it racketeering, call it whatever you like.

What I choose not to abide is an amateur privateer claiming to be a pirate hunter. Pirates may have a business of benefitting from the weak, but we are honest about what we do.

Amrak, in a weak attempt to... I suppose offend me? stoops to sinking random, non-naval vessels. He is failed as a pirate hunter so he seeks to be a pirate I suppose. I did suggest to the Mariners that such an action was contrary to their purpose of defending the freedom of the ocean.

Sinking random people is beneath me. I sink people who do not pay me. If you pay, you do not need to defend your freedom from me. Tis the difference between Amrak and I (aside from the obvious skill and actual leadership of a fleet)- I benevolently allow you the option of pacifism and free sailing.

If the Mariners Guild wishes to defend this moron, their ships will remain primed targets for explosive displays like we hosted last month with the exception of the Mariners who currently and continue to pay me, or the ones who funnel me information.

Thank you for your time, everyone.
