Nature's Defeat
Written by: Commandant Aegoth Aristata, the Holocaust King

Addressed to: The City of Eleusis
For the first time in modern history, those who assert true dominance over the forests may tread its paths free of the incessant, plaintive cries of the flora and fauna. Such is left now to its tenders, whose shrill squabbling and ineffective decisions paved the way for 'Mother' Nature to take the reins and decide for itself to wilt before our will.
You preach that Nature will 'resist and adapt' to change, and we see now this is true: May all bear witness to the wildwood's capitulation, the once fierce wilds grown complacent and lethargic, gorged and saturated by the blood of its slain defenders and too weary to continue in the face of endless assailment. You shirked your already unnecessary burden, and now your charge suffers the consequences.
In the end, it was unavoidable that Nature had to surrender for Eleusis. It is fitting that, as Eleusis' Divine had to in the last war, Nature itself submitted to the evident defeat at the hands of Lord Sartan's armies.
In Service to Him,
Aegoth Aristata
Commandant of Mhaldor
The Holocaust King
Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Ero, in the year 744 AF.
