Hail the Dawn, Northmen. I pray this month finds you better than last.
Corbeaux and I have discussed, at length, the roles of Good and Chaos within our realm, as well as the undemocratic nature of the coup by the Chaos Lords. It his most recent post, Corbeaux touched upon a very important topic: faith.
What is faith, really, beyond an expression of trust? A man may show faith in his spouse in trusting them to be loyal; one may put faith in a divinity, with the belief that this divinity offers them the opportunities that They claim to, or whathaveyou. And, perhaps most importantly on the mortal level, we place faith in our leaders, trusting them to be honest and transparent. For if a man would lie for gain, what is to say he is not lying about other things? Can we, as members of our respective societies, honestly say that we trust and have faith in those who would seek to deceive us, either through manipulation, exaggeration, or outright lying?
I do not believe so; and indeed, any Targossian who was found to be guilty of such deception would likely be stripped of rank and power by the Bloodsworn before being cast aside as a heretic. Such is Their commitment to transparency and to the equal access to truth for all mortals.
With that in mind, please enjoy the following account from your Council's most recent discussions of their poorly-planned propaganda work. It is certainly curious to see how your Archons speak of your people and comrades.

Grandue says, "Okay, I need to bring you guys up to speed on what all
has happened."
Jinsun says, "Erm ya."
Grandue says, "Austere and Jadys have been informing us on Targossas
actions for the last couple of years."
Grandue says, "It is how we found out about the threat to the Chaos
Plane."
Grandue says, "I crafted a series of letters dating all the way back to
when they left Ashtan which Austere pasted into a journal."
Grandue says, "In these letters are directions on what kind of
information to get from Targ, who to try to convert, my response to
information that they've given us about Targossas, etc. I've a copy you
can read."
Grandue says, "As far as Targossas is going to believe, they truly were
spies the whole time. Austere and Jadys at least."
Grandue says, "This is more of a publicity stunt and propaganda than
anything else."
Grandue says, "Making them think that they've believed a lie for over
thirty years to show them how easily they are manipulated."
Grandue says, "We have a couple decisions to make."
Grandue says, "First is how we're going to introduce Austere and Jadys
back to Ashtan. They truly have been spying for us for a couple years.
Got me into Deuc's temple and the Dawnblade estate and such, been
working on redirecting some raids toward Hashan/Mhaldor and stuff."
Grandue says, "We can either play the whole long-game spy thing with
Ashtan also or we can not mention it and just say that they've been
spying for us in Targossas and not mention any kind of date of when the
spying started."
Grandue says, "I don't want citizens to tell their friends in Targ,
"Nah, they've only been spying for a couple years." and ruin all the
work that went into the propaganda bit."
Grandue says, "Secondly, Austere and Jadys have been working on
converting Amik, Sryn, and Morthif, all of whom are coming to Ashtan."
Jinsun says, "Are we still doing archon approvals?"
Grandue says, "Archon approvals? What do you mean?"
Jinsun says, "For approving new citizens?"
Grandue says, "Probably should for Amik, Sryn, and Morthif."
Jinsun says, "And not for Morthif and Jadys?"
Grandue says, "You mean Austere and Jadys?"
Jinsun says, "Aye."
Grandue says, "Kind of defeats the whole point if we say they've
been spying for us and then we need to vote to induct them."
Jinsun says, "The whole point is for one archon not to approve people
without at least some other ranking approval."
Grandue says, "Do you disapprove of any of these people."
Jinsun says, "Yes."
Jinsun says, "Austere and Morthif."
Grandue says, "Let's hear the objections."
Jinsun says, "When Austere contacted me about coming back."
Jinsun says, "He stated that he didn't really want to be in Ashtan but
that "we needed him to come back.""
Jinsun says, "Also."
Jinsun says, "The reason he left was that the Warlocks would not give
him a credit payout for his "service" to the house, according to my
sources."
Jinsun says, "Morthif has, to my knowledge, nothing to bring to Ashtan
except his mouth."
Jinsun says, "Personally."
Jinsun says, "If the majority of Archons approves, I am totally fine
with it. However, with the constant push from you to have an open
discourse with the citizens, there needs to be a full vote as per the
rule."
Jinsun says, "Unless you want to risk pissing of an already barely
content citizenry."
