Speaker Rangor,
I believe you misunderstand, but perhaps bloodshed clouds your capacity to understand. The reasons of my actions were many. Subjugation by the village of Eleusis was not one of them. Mhaldor had already won the Staff of Nicator. If I could stop them, I was not going to allow them to win the Effigy as well. I stopped them.
The Great Wrath was also rather kind to me during the Championship games, so returning Her kindness with the Effigy seemed appropriate. If you would like to learn the rest of why I believe Eleusis receiving the Effigy to be a better outcome than Mhaldor receiving it, I would be happy to speak with you sometime.
In any event while I understand your drive to prove that we are not allies, I have always viewed conflict with your village as a waste of time, a distraction as the true threats to Creation grow in strength.
If you desire to lash out at the Dawnspear in thanks for the Effigy, that is your choice. I have no love for cutting down Eleusians, but I will not hesitate to should your actions require it. Nature may one day reclaim the Dawnspear along with the rest of civilisation, but it won't matter if the threats to Creation materialise.
In any event, you're welcome. Ungrateful savage.
Warmly,
Tesha al Ashtad
