Rangor,
You have yet again decided that the selective application of your own virtues are more important
than the actual preservation of Creation and, by association, Nature. You chose to attack the
sovereignty of the Dawnspear for one of two reasons: 1) We were an easy target at the time of
your attack, or 2) Your theology demands it. If the option is the former than there is nothing
more to truly say aside that your warmongering has succeeded, and will be returned in kind.
If, however, the reason is the latter then we have some things to discuss. I would wonder why
the terraforming of the Dawnspear would raise your ire so, yet you would ignore the clear and
present reshaping of the various other cities? Cyrene, despite its peace-loving nature, seems
to be a prime candidate for your zealous protection of Nature. Perhaps Hashan, or Ashtan? You
actively oppose the Isle yet the reasoning in regards to the Dawnspear has never been raised.
This selective application brings to mind if it is truly the reshaping of Nature you oppose,
or the Dawnspear itself.
This line of thinking of itself brings to mind a few questions. The Bloodsworn Divine, with
Their infinite wisdom, saw fit to pay retribution for the creation of the Dawnspear via a
donation of essence to Nature's Divine. While They see the Dawnspear's purpose as necessary
to ensure the preservation and advancement of Creation they also know that Nature, while but
a small portion of the entirety of Creation, is to be protected as well. This is what we call
wisdom.
Does this 'fine' clear the Dawnspear of any wrongdoing in your eyes? Obviously not. Does it
at least show that the Dawnspear, while having affronted Nature in your eyes, wishes to mend
any damage done to Nature in the opinion of the Village? Yes. Does any of this make a damn bit
of difference to you and the hypocrits you convinced to follow you? No.
Does this opposition to reshaping the earth apply in all things? Do you oppose mining which
is, in and of itself, an act of terraforming the earth for the sole purpose of personal gain?
Clearly not, as you yourself are the 25th ranked miner of the land. I wonder if you truly
understand the oath you have undertaken in regards to Nature.
The Dawnspear protects Creation. We do not pick and choose which aspects of Creation to enact
our resolve on, nor do we isolate Good's influence to that which is easy. All may be saved,
all must be saved, for if a lone tree remains standing while all else swirls into Oblivion
what the hell is the point? We seek to remove that which endangers Creation. You seek war for
war's sake. The line of thinking in regards to removing a people's Growth and ability to
advance is an affront to the natural order of Creation. Society will advance no matter how
hard you choose to attempt to keep us in the times before the Seleucarian Empire.
So, in conclusion, I ask you to resolve the wildly apparant flaws in your theology and
apply them entirely or not at all. The Dawnspear finds it quite ironic that the guardians
of Nature can't see the forest for the trees.
