This seaborne threat can, and will, only be worsened by ignorance, panic, and hysteria, which are things never in short order when trouble arises, and the population froths.

If things are handled neatly, then there's no reason this must spread more than it already has.

The futile attempts at fearmongering by Hashan and Eleusis are just that -- futile -- but do neatly expose these men for their true selves. I will caution you all: do not heed.

A cure HAS been discovered, one for both ships, and harbours - however, in order for this cure to be successful, in order for the tainted waters to be cleansed, you must follow orders.

We are declaring the waters northeast of Tasur'ke to be free from hostility at this time. You will dock your infected ship in Tasur. If the harbour has reached maximum capacity, then you will anchor in the bay, or along the coast north of Tasur. This will allow us to both contain and quarantine the infection, as well as gauge the approximate size of the threat itself. You will hoist an unmarked, unemblazoned black flag to identify yourself. Any ship found here will remain free from assault from the Pirates of Meropis, the Mhaldorian navy, and the Ashtani navy. Failure to identify yourself properly in this fashion will not guarantee your safety. When you move your vessel there, you will notify me with your ship's name, how long your men have been ill, the harbour you hailed from, and where you think you acquired your infection.

Inaction will not save you from this. Praying will not save you from this. Your Gods will not save you from this. Your ability to follow directions, and orders, will.

You have your instructions, sailors.
