To the citizens of Ashtan, I will keep this brief so as to not take up too much of your time.

It has been some time since I last wrote to these boards and longer yet without quoting dogma or being condescending. Many of you remember me and most of you hate me to the very core. By now, word of my application to the Warlocks has spread and along with it, whispers of my vitriolic personality and volatile temper. While I will not patronize or attempt to insult your intelligence in the matter, I will inform you that contrary to common belief, I have no intention to nor have I expressed any interest in rejoining the Bastion at this time.

There are reasons for this and if you would like to know, feel free to ask me, but please do not assume that you understand me or my intentions because whatever I was a century and a half ago, I am not that man today.
