Have the dignity to accept things as they truly are and learn from your mistakes - both key aspects of Truth and Growth as a person and part of Creation.

It is also worth noting that defeat, and indeed, victory, do not determine ideological Truth, merely individual strength at an arbitrary point in time. Fellow seekers of the Light and those who have not yet found their way to it would all be wise to remember this fact.
