Although your compatriot appears to believe that discussion of ideology is meaningless, the educated know that the hearts and minds of all Sapients are never fully won until only one faction remains standing. It is a sign of the very fear your compatriot purports to be lacking to avoid discussion and debate, as well as battle, whilst proclaiming that you are both superior and unflinching.

Thus, I challenge you to defend the ideals that you zealously profess, in a public debate. Should you accept, we can discuss the details in private. Perhaps you may attempt to prove to the world, by action, rather than by word, that cowards do not exist within the walls of your city.

Make no mistake. There is fear in Targossas. Fear is the reason your armies refrain from defending shrines to your Gods when it is dangerous to do so, instead merely peeking their heads in to see what is the matter, then fleeing tails between their legs. Fear is the reason no Targossian will stand against me in honourable 1 vs 1 combat. Fear is the reason that persons such as your compatriot respond to Mhaldorians with mere insults, rather than reasoned argument. This does not have to be so, of course. Fear is a weakness that may, like all weakness, be purged through Suffering. Unfortunately, hiding from fear does not cause it to go away, and claiming it does not exist is not the same as facing it.
