Fear

Jinsun,
I find it amusing that when presented with nothing but Truth, even when the Truth subtly verifies your very claims, that you still resort to petty insults and childish remarks claiming I am somehow afraid of you, or Chaos. I think you will find that in my three centuries of life, not once has fear been an emotion I've felt in the face of a challenge.
There is no hiding my lack of skill on the battlefield against those that wield the powers of Chaos. It is because of this that I do not seek out your head. This is not a representation of fear, it is the acknowledgement of my current limitations. There is a clear difference in being afraid and knowing your own capabilities. As a warrior scholar to another warrior scholar I am surprised you haven't learned this yet.
You speak to me as though I am uneducated, as though I have sheltered myself in the walls of Targossas and before that Shallam for all of my life. Dear Jinsun, how stupid can you be? I was born in Hashan and I served Lord Twilight for many, many years. I searched and studied the Lord of Oblivion, very nearly joining His ranks as well. I have embraced the Seven Truths as a lifestyle though never joined the city of Evil. I am learned in the ways of what poisons Creation, and after gaining all of this knowledge I chose to fight against them. I am not a slave to the Bloodsworn, I am not the brainwashed peasant you seem to think I am. I am free, I am enlightened, I am unafraid.
Rest assured that when the tide of Oblivion crashes into the berm of Creation in the final attempt to consume all things that I will be there. I will be waiting without fear, with open eyes and with fists clenched and ready, as I have been for every challenge this world has faced since I've been able to stand on my own feet.
