Obsidian

Greetings Oorangu,

For as long as I can remember, your village has been the only purveyor
of a commodity of great importance to many of the inhabitants of
Sapience. I refer of course, to obsidian. At this time, stocks of
obsidian held by the cities of Sapience appear to have slumped to such
an alarmingly low level that it is no longer sold at many of the city
commodity shops. Demand for the essential commodity has become so great
that the Grook Village commodity shop is essentially cleared out of the
item as soon as it is restocked.

I wish to discuss the sourcing and production of obsidian with you, in
the hope that we may find a way to boost the rate of production, perhaps
to make it more widely available, and thus satisfy the needs of the many
practitioners of magic throughout Sapience.

Your colleague in the scholarly pursuit of magic,
Ognog Negai

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Phaestian, in the year 595 AF.
