insolence

The caption reads that this letter is to Gwenhwyfar, but as her and I have already discussed the matter, it is more directed to the citizens of Ashtan who were gathered in the residence of Epicurus the other day, Saul, Nimos, Angelo, and others whose names I do not recall, mostly small workers of magics.
Gwenhwyfar attempted my life because she found my manner to be insolent and disrespectful to the elders of the city.
As I spoke privately with Epicurus on the matters of swordsmanship, the frivolity of a few gathered there spilled over on me. I was attacked, kissed, and later slapped (or so it seemed, as I beleive Saul to be truthfull in that it was an illusion).
To Gwenhwyfar I have said this: I do not like to be touched. My anger was not vented at the dignitaries that were gathered, but the childish behavior of the magic users mocking me. I hate being touched and told the assembly so, as it is my manner to speak directly. The insolence was not on my part, but on thiers. As for respect, I do indeed respect many in this land, all of whom having treated me with respect and dignity in return. I respect powerful warriors, wise politicians, and faithful allies. I do not respect those who use the tools of adults for childish games, and then are hurt because I do not see enjoy their humor. I was born into this time to do a job, I do not seek playmates.
On another note, I dont think the likes of Saul Nimos and Angelo need Gwenhwyfars protective hand over them, they are men of stature and Im sure they will tell me if i have done them an injustice.
