A choice.

Sapience,
Long have the Alchemists of the Cauda Pavonis sat hidden within our
estate, deep within a fold in the ether. The meddling in the skies,
however, has forced us back into the public eye, and it is too late for
this to be undone. Knowledge of our abilities is widespread, and it is
known to us that this power is desired across Sapience.
The study of Alchemy takes decades upon decades; even the lowliest of
apprentices have spend twenty, thirty, even fourty years before managing
the most basic of our powers. However, the advent of the alchemical
anchors offers a unique opportunity. Through their connection with the
ether, it becomes possible to attune one's mind and body to the
alchemical energies, and potentially gain some degree of control over
them.
Know this, however: Knowledge gained in such a manner negates any
potential for true understanding. Any who seek the powers of Alchemy
will stunt themselves forever more by using the anchors, unable to grow
in knowledge past the fundamentals of the alchemical energies. But
still, this is your sole opportunity to tap into their power.
Thus, you are offered a choice, cities of Sapience. Foresake the rabble
of the forests, and forever more disavow the aid of Druids, Sentinels
and Sylvans, and an anchor will be attuned to your city, allowing your
citizens to learn the powers of the Alchemist. You will be allowed to
keep any existing forestals who may be citizens, but potential future
citizens will be turned away. The choice is yours, Sapience.
